Our values and commitments in Vic-la-Gardiole
Claire and Sébastien, a couple who carried out a beautiful project in 2017! Originally from Normandy, now settled in the Hérault, which we discovered and which fascinated us by its cultural, natural and gastronomic wealth. We will be delighted to show you around during your stay.
Our family campsite in Hérault
The Camping Altéa*** is a family and human campsite above all located in the Hérault (34) in Vic-La-Gardiole, between Sète and Montpellier.
With a privileged setting and wide open spaces on the Mediterranean coast of Languedoc between sea, small mountains, ponds and vineyards. And only 4.5km from the authentic natural beach of Les Aresquiers (free parking all year round)
We have 5 chalets, unusual accommodations with a lodge tent, 2 coco-sweet, 9 premium mobile homes and cottages, 1 PMR mobile home, 26 mobil-homes and cottages of different categories, 50 camping pitches and 4 Freecamp pitches (with private kitchen and sanitary facilities).
There are also 2 sanitary blocks, 1 of which is enclosed and heated in winter.

A heated swimming pool mi-april to mid-november with a paddling pool, a playground with an inflatable structure, a sports hall and a multi-sports ground will delight young and old alike.
Bar, restaurant with TV, entertainment and children’s club in summer for holidays that will please the whole family!
At the reception you can take advantage of a grocery shop, loan and rental of various equipment for your comfort.
Pets are welcome in our campsite under certain conditions, on pitches as well as in rentals (CF CGV).

Our commitments
Choosing our campsite means experiencing a holiday as close to nature as possible, far from everyday life, and recharging your batteries in the magnificent landscapes that surround us.
Aware of the impact of a campsite on the environment, it is important to us to make commitments to the planet, which is why we have put in place certain more responsible and respectful actions. Such as a rubbish bin at the entrance of the campsite in order to separate your waste, connected bracelets for the toilets and showers in order to limit water consumption and then have a more hygienic environment.
At the reception you will find a collection bin for plastic caps which we then take to collection points to help charities as well as the collection of batteries and light bulbs.
Moreover, vegetation is very present in our campsite and we attach great importance to it, that’s why we don’t use pesticides and watering is done with water from the well.
The campground’s walkways are equipped with solar lighting, and in order to provide hot water in the communal showers, the sanitary facilities are equipped with solar water heaters.
All showers are equipped with energy-saving shower heads, taps with aerators and the insulation of the water pipes under the mobile homes has been replaced with energy-saving LED lights.
By doing so, you can continue your contribution to conserving nature and the planet, even during your holiday.
The sanitary facilities and communal areas (except the swimming pool) are adapted for people with reduced mobility, as well as a PRM mobile home has been set up with the aim of making accessibility for all possible.
We favour local producers, as far as possible the campsite restaurant buys from local producers for shellfish and wine. In addition, every Tuesday during the summer, we organise a market in the campsite with local producers.
